Fall 2025 MSU Denver BFA Thesis Exhibition

The Fall 2025 BFA Thesis Exhibition at CVA presents the innovative work of emerging artists and designers from Metropolitan State University of Denver. This bi-annual showcase not only marks the culmination of their undergraduate studies but also offers a vital platform for students to engage with the local arts community.

Futures: 528.o Regional Juried Printmaking Exhibition
January 2 – March 21, 2026
In celebration of the Month of Printmaking, Mo’Print, in partnership with CVA, presents Futures: 528.o Regional Juried Printmaking Exhibition, highlighting printmakers residing within a 528.0-mile radius of Denver, Colorado. The number 528.0 refers to Denver’s altitude and status as the Mile High City (5,280 feet). Month of Printmaking (Mo’Print), is a biennial event celebrating the fine art of making original, hand-crafted prints with the purpose to inspire, provide accessible education opportunities to the public, and promote awareness of educational events in the Denver metropolitan area, the front range region, and throughout Colorado. Submissions for the exhibition will be juried by Rick Griffith, Chinn Wang, and Cecily Cullen.
Chinn Wang (pronunciation: Cheen Wong) is a printmedia artist exploring themes of erasure, lineage, and superstition, in addition to complex transitions in desire, chance, and mortality. She earned her MFA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a dual BA in Art Practice and Art History from the University of California, Berkeley. Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally at The Print Center, Philadelphia, The Denver Art Museum, and The Korean Cultural Center in Beijing, China, and in cities including Chicago, San Francisco, and Berlin among others. Wang is a Teaching Professor and Foundations Coordinator in the School of Art & Art History at the University of Denver and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
Cecily Cullen is a creative professional and an advocate for artists. As director and curator of the Metropolitan State University of Denver Center for Visual Art, she develops exhibitions and programs to engage the public in examination of global issues. She collaborates with artists in activating dialogue in an environment that encourages learning for both visitors and the student staff. Cecily has curated or organized over 125 contemporary exhibitions that give voice to artists from diverse perspectives and backgrounds. She has been guest juror for numerous exhibitions and public art projects, is an advisor for the Colorado Attorneys for the Arts and has recently served as chair of the Colorado Committee for the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She is a recipient of the Cultural Leadership Award from the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts.

Collective Nouns
Opening May 15, 2026
Collective Nouns brings together diverse and distinguished artists working across a wide variety of media representing each artist’s unique experiences, influences, and interests. This exhibition offers a peek into the studio art and design practices of MSU Denver’s art faculty and staff, celebrating our vibrant visual art community.
